Shows a boy growing up from age of 7 till he goes into University and all the hardships and trials life brings with it. The film actually was filmed in between the development of the years, so you can organically see the passage of time. Patricia Arquette is awesome, and really intriguing film though the run time really does dwindle and makes it hard to concentrate. But still, a brill film!

Hail, Cesar! - 8/10 - awesome golden age Hollywood film by Cohen brothers which offers some great laughs with commentary and insight to the film industry at that time. Not seen many Cohen brother films, so might be something to look at adding to my list to watch...
    Really liked Boyhood!

Didn't much enjoy Hail, Cesar!, though... my favourite of theirs is Burn After Reading.

Guess it does have it's niche, but I thought it was a good film 'to watch' from an era I have always liked reading about. Maybe that made my slightly more biased?

Definetly want to try watch some more of theirs, such as Fargo.

I enjoyed it too. One of the regular criticisms it gets is that the naff film sequences take you away from the plot, but the stars of each of the film sequences are important to the plot (or to one of the subplots in the case of the synchronised swimming bit) so it works, in my opinion. There aren't really all that many laugh out loud moments (I laughed at how they resolved the cowboy actor's inability to say 'Would that it were so simple' and at the masturbation joke ) but I found it a pleasant enough watch with lots to amuse.

Became aware of 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood' last night, looks really good, hell of a cast! Already out in America and holds a rating of 8.7 on IMDb atm which probably means it can't live up to expectations, but it's out here in a couple of weeks.

Think I'll even go to the cinema to watch it - definitely my turn to pick after being dragged to Aquaman and Avengers!

Last ever Tarantino directed film, supposedly. Supposed to have a few references to all of his previous movies too so keep your eyes peeled

Think I'll go see it on Monday (Bank Holiday innit). Showed my girlfriend the trailer and she was a bit baffled (is a bit vague tbf) but dragging her along regardless

Yea I'm not sure how much drama there is or is it just about this guy and his stunt man trying to get work...

Well it's still flying high on IMDb with 8.2, so there must be something about it!
