    UEFA Europa League

Who is your hot favourite to win it outright? Man Utd?

I think if United take the competition seriously and continue to field strong sides, then there's always a chance. I know it's not most United fans' first priority or where they wanted us to be this season, but I really hope we do win it, just because we never have before, and that is a pretty notable absentee on our honour roll.

Iker Muniain's a funny one. For some reason, his name always shows with 2 spaces between his first and last name on CM01/02, no idea why.

absolute disgrace from the scottish official in the twente - schalke match, 5 refs on the field and they call that a foul

the guy trips over his own feet 2 metres outside the box and it results in a red card and a pen

    CONSPIRACY!

Watching the Europa League just isn't the same without Stoke

I was very impressed with Bilbao and Sporting last night - Just goes to prove the difference in technical players between the two sides and our English teams.

Bilbao were amazing. There were five goals in the match and it should have read 0-5 not 2-3 in all honesty.

Well that was depressing. Hard to take any consolation really, Athletic Bilbao were admittedly very impressive, but United were just woefully impotent, and I hate to say it, but we got exactly what we deserved.

Intriguing to see the Athletic, if represented by the cm0102 match engine, were only playing with two centre-backs (a la Barcelona)...

Perhaps our tactics engine isn't so crazy after all...

He's augmented his 3-3-1-3 again. Love the way his teams play. Chile were great to watch at the World Cup

Watched a bit of it and after 10 minutes, I knew I had wasted my fiver on having Manure as part of my 4 team accy (Had Man Utd, Man City, Udinese and Schalke at 10/1 - Knew the others would win as soon as United lost )

In La Liga he usually plays with a flat back four. Well, thinking of it again, he rather plays with 2 at the back...

He started with 3 defenders, but since - compared to South America - spanish teams don't play with 2 attackers but mostly 1, he changed from 3 defenders to 2... (1 per attacker +1 spare to help out)

    And yes
    - his team are always "eye candy" to watch (except for Crespo-Batigol Argentina, I think from 2002?)
    - I really fear that Mansour sheik/Abramovic/Sandro Rosell/Moratti/etc will offload Bilbao's minivan of players in the summer...

Metallist is actually much better then their reputation.
I think Bilbao is better, but they have serious chances against S04 and are much better then Sporting.

I remember Metallist defeating Benfica at Estadio da Luz few years ago, in fact... I dont take nothing for granted, just hope Portuguese team wins

but saying that Metallist is MUCH better than Sporting is just one of those stupid things people shouldnt get away with

Schalke were really impressive against Twente in the second leg. Huntelaars on fire, but if Bilbao play like they did against Man U, I can't see Schalke going through.

I reckon an all Spanish final of Bilbao v Valencia is on the cards.

metallist is a huge unknown, i saw them play once against salzburg and they were impressive, so yeah, i think nobody fancies flying to ukraine and play against them.

I really hope schalke win against bilbao. its good that bilbao is favourite now but i still think schalke got a shot. bilbao played great against man utd, but still, they can't play like that all the time, otherwise they'd be much higher placed in la liga. huntelaar is indeed on fire and always good for 2 or 3 goals over both legs. the key will be a 2-0 or 3-1 win against bilbao at home.
