As a response to a post in the forum about playing with less money, please see below for details on how to change the prize money (and TV rights) amounts:

NOTE: You will need the Olly Debugger software for this. It is a free download on the Olly website: http://www.ollydbg.de/download.htm

I did not use this website to download my copy of Olly, as someone else provided it to me from a different link. I cannot see any problems with using the above link, but if anyone does experience any, please post here.

When entering the amounts you want, you need to use HEXADECIMAL. So if you want the Champions League winner to receive £40M you will need to enter the HEX equivalent of £40M. Also some prize amounts multiply the amount of money you enter. For example for the English Premier division if you enter the HEX equivalent of £20M it will multiply this and give you an extremely high number. I only found this out by trial and error after spending many hours trying to get the amounts I want. I currently use the HEX number -99999 (Decimal -629,145) for the Premier League, which gives the winner a prize money of -12M, which suggests a multipication of 19, maybe related to the number of teams in the league (If anyone would like an explanantion of why I do this feel free to ask ).

1.Open olly
2.Select the cm0102.exe
3.Wait until it finishes analyzing
4.Press ctrl+G
5.Type "0084FDB9"
6.The marked line should be:"PUSH 3D090"
7.Change it to:"PUSH value"
8.Save the changes.

1.Open olly

EDIT: To SAVE the changes, right click on the one of the lines of code(one you have changed for example) - Copy to executable - All modifications - Copy All. Once the new window appears, right click on one of the lines of code in it, and click 'Save file'.

Reinstalled CM0102 after a while away from the game. Used the Tapani 2.19 as I had previously done and supplemented this with using Names Editor and Cash Editor. Everything is fine with the things I have edited (Comp Names, Prize money etc...) except the Basic TV Money for the English Premier League. It's only £3.8m (which is less than the Championship) and I can't remember how to edit it to a more realistic figure- £20m or maybe £25m. I have used Olly before whilst reading through tutorials but I can't find a guide to explain how to successfully change the TV Money. Many thanks.

Like I said I have used that App (Cash Editor) successfully, but it doesn't allow you to edit the English TV money you receive at the start of the season. You can only edit the Prize money for your final league placing.

UPDATE- I worked out the offset for English Premier League TV Money (lump sum at start of season) is 00574B3F and it shows PUSH 39FBC0 (Hex for £3.8m). I have changed it to £20m (1312d00) and run the CM0102.EXE through olly and it works perfectly (ie when the new season starts all the EPL teams get £20m). But I can't seem to work out how to make these changes permanent so they will work when I run CM0102.EXE not through ollydbg. There isn't an obvious "Save" option anywhere and I can't seem to make permanent changes to the code. Any help for be gratefully received.

when u finish editing offsets :
- right mouse click - copy to executable - all modifications
- right mouse click - save file - overwrite cm0102.exe

I now use John Locke's editor, as I discovered it after posting this info......English TV Money is in there, although it is easy to miss if you do not look carefully, as I found.

So I'm wanting to up date the current tv and prize money for all leagues and comps using the money editor in flex. I don't suppose anyone has the list of changes tapani made in his patch.

I have searched and searched to no avail.

I see that zozoa has uploaded a load of offsets for prize money. I have tried to understand them and tried to understand what offsets are but had no luck there either.

To edit this kind of data yourself and without using a tool that has been created you will need to download a programme called Ollydbg

This is the programme that allowas you 'into' the game where the Offsets Zozoa mentions/lists can be changed.

OllyDbg, Olly for short, is a piece of software useful for analysing and editing the CM executable file.

I have been using flex just don't know today's actual tv and comp prizes. I will have a go using olly and the offsets and report back tomorrow. Are the offsets that zozoa posted the updated prize budgets? Is there anyway to translate them to their actual values?

I used to use tapani 2.19 but now only use flex and the Jl patcher to get subs, idle sensitivity, speed etc

Yeh values can be changed with different offsets, you are better off in the offsets thread

Had a quick look in the offsets thread and it all just seems confusing or am I looking at it wrong... Lol.

Could I not just edit it using the money editor on flex?

If I could then all I need is a list of the up to date prizes and I could enter them myself and the flex patch would do all the offsets stuff for me?!?

I am sure a quick google search will find the prize money amounts for you. And yes use theFlex tool to change.

You refer to the Tapani Patch and Zozoa but there last patches/upodates were a couple of years ago so the figures will be outdated.

If I could get the info for the prize money changes that tapani or zozoa made I would be happier having them a few years out of date as opposed to the 12 years out of date that I'm currently playing with.

Looked using google and there are lots of different sources stating different amounts so would rather go with what the majority of players are using ie doing them by offsets or getting the changes that zozoa or tapani made and inputting them myself using flex.

Just play using tapani patch then u will hve updated prize money to 2 years ago.

I don't want to use the tapani patch on my exe because of previous problems. I prefer using flex and the jl patcher. Means I can pick and choose the patches that I want. Hence trying to find out more up to date prize money so that I can input it using flex...

I don't mind patching with tapani, using flex to view the prize money and note it down. Then uninstall tapani and input into the exe I have been playing with using flex.

Last season in the English Premier League the prize money is £755,881 per position. TV money totalled £32,734,764 per club, plus a 'facility' payment for each live television appearance of around £540,000. TV rights this season are somewhat higher.

There is very little prize money on offer in the League Cup - last year the winners received £100,000, runners-up £50,000, and losing semi-finalists £25,000.

I am sure the Champions League and Europa League prize money breakdown can be found somewhere on the UEFA website, but of course these competitions are structurally different from how they were in 2001 so you would need to use plenty of discretion.

FWIW I think the Tapani patch only includes adjusted prize money for the Premier League and (possibly) Champions League, so for all other competitions you will need to Google around for a long time.

Have to say it would be handy if somebody (or everybody who cares) could collaborate a little in order to identify as many prize money and TV revenue values as possible. It can be a bit demoralising winning a league and getting twenty quid and a pat on the back for your efforts.
