    Festivals/Concerts/Gigs

Thought there was a previous thread about this but couldn't find it....

Amyway, there is a 4 day Rock/Punk/Metal fest happening this summer (for the 3rd or 4th year) in Montebello, about halfway between Ottawa and Montreal....

Lineup so far is pretty crazy..... I may try and get tickets...

    System Of A Down
    Linkin Park
    The Offspring
    Slayer
Snoop Dogg (don't know why he's there but whatever )
    Rob Zombie
    Tenacious D
    Pixies
    Sublime
    Deftones
    Rancid
    Bad Religion
    Refused
    Thrice
    Coheed
    Flogging Molly
    Gogol Bordello
    Propagandhi
    Buzzcocks
    The Exploited
    Michale Graves of Misfits
    Ministry
    Skinny Puppy
Down with Phil Anselmo of Pantera

Plus others... supposed to be over 100 bands

    Are The Offspring still going?

It's funny, I've been going through all of my CDs recently, playing a new disc each week in the car and this week's offering is Americana by The Offspring which just happens to be the first album I was ever given

Saw the Electric Light Orchestra last night...

All I can say is WOW!

An absolutely amazing gig, top notch sound, all the classics and a quite brilliant light show.

Surprisingly high energy gig. In fact, she is mental on stage. No chilled out hippy anymore

Just announced that Slayer along with Cannibal Corpse, Amon Amarth, and Lamb of God are coming to Ottawa in May..... I'll be buying tickets today.... I think my 13 year old daughter is more excited about the Slayer show than anyone else I know

Metallica might be my ceiling for metal (if they are even metal enough to be called metal, more kevlar than metal ).

That said, when it comes to dance I don't have a ceiling. Case in point I'd love to go to a DJ Buzz Fuzz gig https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AsqjYKjLhlM

Slayer is one of my all-time favourite bands (although their recent stuff is kinda meh).... I don't care much about the other bands though

Went to Picture This last Thursday as part of herself's Birthday (tickets) and Christmas presents (Hotel)

Great gig. It was like being a bouncer at a teenage disco though

Read the opening post and thought "what, are Linkin Park still active, did they get a new vocalist?"

Then I noticed the post was from 2015 😂

Me and two mates have been putting 5 each on a team to make a 15 treble all season. We signed off with a pot of 910.17, roughly about 300 profit overall I think,

So with our winnings we've got tickets to a festival at the end of August:
