3,000 to 1 on Stoke. Maybe if we had signed Shaqiri and Konoplyanka

I'm sticking with Chelsea. The Mourinho factor will continue for another year.

No. It's Douvan to win the King George on St.Stephens Day

I made the bet to pay for my wedding so I'll see how things go.

A grand helps. 15 helps a lot more

Getting that feeling after United not grinding out a point at the weekend. If they had the bookies would have paid out imo.

7pts from 15 would require Spurs being flawless for 5 games all the same.

Its in the bag Derm, id let the bet ride too... although that grand would be very tempting.

Does the GG race before season end? If it does, what cash out would they offer do you think?

Doesn't run until Dec 26th this year. Might not even run in the race. But Ruby Walsh reckons he has more potential than Kauto Star. Basically more potential than probably the 3rd best chaser ever. Only thing is Douvan has not run at a trip further than 2m, the King George is 3m. If he runs a prep race beforehand at 2.5m or 3m and wins he'll start the race even money or odds on. Plenty of ifs a buts in that regards but do think he'll be stepped up in trip this year, basically if Ruby says he will he will be. And Vautour will be sent back to 2m to go for the races Douvan would have been running in (same owner/trainer combo and he tends not to run his best horses against each or spreads them to win more races e.g. Champion Hurdle winner Annie Power will likely go for World Hurdle so not to take on Faugheen (Rich Ricci's selection of horses is sick))

Anyhow, need Leicester to do the business first.

wow, so a long wait between Leicester winning the league and the race.. surely that's gonna tempt you to cash out.

Either way, good news on the engagement

    Cheers

Not really tempted. I've started saving the equivalent of Leicester winning so if they don't do the business I'll not regret not cashing out. As I said the intention of the bet was a debt free wedding. So if it wins great, if it doesn't, I'll have another 1200 saved on top of the wedding fund either way.

I'm only invested in the bet for a tenner since that was the original deposit on pp

Douvan has been a beast at Cheltenham and Aintree. Hopefully bodes well. There's no way I could handle the nerves of a 6 month wait for the payout though

Fingers crossed Stoke do you a favour on Monday night against Spurs. We're just so inconsistent this season though!
