Thoughts go out to claudio reyna's family as his 13 year old son lost his battle with cancer.
    very sad.
RIP Jack [same name as my 9 month old son] can't begin to imagine how they must be feeling.

RIP to the voice of darts Sid Waddell who lost his battle with cancer aged 72.

For all his love for Taylor, and how annoying that lovefest could be at times, he was one hell of a commentator, and will certainly set the trend for some new up and commers.

RIP Sidney you will be missed by the darting world.

Darts won't be the same without him. He came up with such random stuff but that's why everybody loved him.

    RIP.

Excellent commentator and one hell of a gentleman. Me and mate met him in Cardiff for the World 9-Ball Championships years ago. He was genuine and chatted to us through his entire break.

    Rest In Peace Sid. X

There will some decent guy replace him and do a good job but none will ever be (and there never will be) another Sid Waddell.

Sad he died and was a great commentator but darts isn't even a sport & can't stand it personally.

It's a frigging pub game played by sweaty fat men.

    Newcastle fan was Sid.
    Will be missed.

Also wrote the classic TV show Jossy's Giants which was epic. Used to run home from school for that.

Its a "working mans" sport. Something that joe average can sit and enjoy with a few cold ones. Sid made darts exciting - he genuinely good man.

I actually agree with Cam on this one, as far as I'm concerned, a sport is only a sport if it requires some kind of athletic ability, so by the same token, I don't consider snooker a sport either. R.I.P. all the same though.

RIP Tony Scott, quite shocked by this one, he apparently committed suicide.

Tony Scott, the director of Hollywood hits such as Top Gun, Beverly Hills Cop II, and Unstoppable, died Sunday at age 68, his publicist has confirmed to EW. According to the Los Angeles Police Department’s harbor division, the British-born filmmaker jumped to his death from the Vincent Thomas bridge near Long Beach, Calif.

According to officials, the director climbed a fence on the south side of the bridge and leapt off around 12:30 p.m. Police reportedly found a suicide note inside Scott’s black Toyota Prius, which was parked on the bridge. His identity was confirmed around 7 p.m. by the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.

Scott and his older brother Ridley (the Oscar-nominated director of films like Alien, Gladiator, and Prometheus) were partners in Scott Free Productions, whose latest project is A&E’s four-hour medical thriller Coma, due to air next month. Tony Scott, whose last film was the 2010 runaway-train thriller Unstoppable with Denzel Washington and Chris Pine, had been developing a sequel to his 1986 Tom Cruise blockbuster Top Gun.

Shocked myself. Jumping off a bridge in LA, very dramatic. Sad he felt so bad to do it but after Gary Speed you just never know what is going on in somebody's head when they seem to have it all.

    Sad news indeed.
    RIP Tony

Another showbiz man with Scott in his name left us three days ago. Scott McKenzie, best known for his 1967 hit single and generational anthem, "San Francisco (Be Sure to Wear Flowers in Your Hair)", passed away last Saturday at the age of 73 in his home in Los Angeles after two weeks at the hospital. He had suffered from Guillain–Barré syndrome since 2010.

    A complete legend!

Will always been known as the first Man on the Moon for centuries of years to come, and a wise man as well: "Mystery creates wonder and wonder is the basis of man's desire to understand."
