Di Bari needs to learn English as soon as possible. That'll help him adapt to life in the UK.

Hopefully he'll settle back in soon. After all, Duelund did the same thing last season, didn't he? Or earlier this season, can't remember!

It does seem that the off-the-field stuff with rumours of the manager quitting may have affected that game in the cup?

    Rovers narrowly defeat Norwich

On Monday 31st January we played Norwich City without Di Bari and after ninety exciting and action-packed minutes we left Carrow Road with the three points in the bag!

Norwich came out with an attacking formation but we also wanted the early goal so there were a couple of scoring chances for both teams before Donaldson drove the ball low towards the goal and scored!

We immediately tried to get back into the match but Norwich played well and they almost scored again when Reeves powered a header at goal which Steele could only just parry. Fortunately, the corner came to nothing.

But then O'Brien lifted a goal kick upfield where it ended up in no-man's land and it was Mikkel Duelund who took control of the loose ball. Duelund brought the ball forward and struck it with fury. O'Brien could not quite gather the ball so it fell back to Duelund and this time he scored with a simple finish!

Seven minutes later Duelund found the net again, only it was ruled out because Surez was off-side. Besic also tried a low drive but O'Brien did well to get his fingertips to the ball.

In the second half we brought a fresh face into the game: Besic was replaced by Matic. And frankly, the match was in balance now and the game could have gone either way. A draw was probably the most likely scenario, but then Van Beek jinked past Joe Riley and aimed for the near post where none other than Alfonso Serrano controlled the ball well and tapped it in to give us a 1-2 lead!!

There were one or two more attempts on goal from both teams but no further goals and so we won the match and we collected three valuable points!

A solid team performance and another victory, albeit a very narrow one. Victor Wanyama was named Man of the Match in his third game for Rovers.
    Spoiler!

Now the gap between us and our competitors for the title has not widened, but it certainly is not closing, either. Surely, this must be our season!

    Spoiler!

We only have to play three games this month, so our lads will get plenty of rest, but in March we have a tight schedule with Europa League games plus the EFL Cup Semi Final Leg Two against Tottenham!

Pfew.. that could easily have been a draw! But your quality saw you through!

Duelund is getting better and better each week, will he keep Di Bari out of the starting eleven?

    Swansea City vs Blackburn Rovers

Swansea have quite a strong team, there's no denying that, but it seems a bit much for our scouts to say that they have a world class team.

Anyhow, it hardly comes as a surprise that Swansea City have also opted to play with a two-striker formation against us. We are used to that by now and we know how to handle that.

The good news is that Dennis Praet is back from his injury so he will start as left winger again. Di Bari is also ready to play again.

This means that Clasie is the only one still injured, although Akpoguma and Mahrez are on international duty so we are missing three key players in total. Therefore, Alfonso Serrano, winner of last month's Young Player of the Month award, will start as right winger against the Swans.
