Solid enought GK to start off with mate - hopefully you'll be the next Fabianski or Kamil Grabara who's having a fine season in Liverpool U23's/Youth

Massive congratulations to Kowalinho who has been named as the Young Player of the Month for League One in January!

It's not been an easy time for the goalkeeper this season who is only in his first year with the Vipers as he has conceded 47 goals in 34 starts so far. But he has really stepped up a gear since Erkifino has returned to the fold. While Erkifino has turned up for 6 games now, Kowalinho has been in top form and has been rated '8' in our three league games this month, conceding twice and keeping one clean sheet in the process.

    The Gaffer's Comments
I think it would be fair to say that Kowalinho signed up as a goalkeeper for the Vipers knowing that he would have a battle on his hands to get game time, given that Erkifino and Goofy had also registered as goalkeepers for this season. But Kowalinho was in fact thrown straight into the team immediately and started all four friendlies before going on to start all but one of the Vipers games this campaign! Kowalinho certainly had some tough moments to begin with as the Vipers struggled to establish a settled team and clean sheets were something of a rarity. But he played his part in the cup win over Aston Villa, missing his own spot-kick but saved twice to put the Vipers through to the next round but sadly missed another spot-kick against Derby. In fact, Kowalinho stepped up three times in penalty shoot outs but missed all three! But in our league games, Kowalinho managed to covert 3/4 penalties, missing in our last game of the season. But it's clear to see that as the season went on, Kowalinho grew in confidence which was summed up with a Young Player of the Month award in January. Even when Erkifino finally came back to Vipers HQ to put pressure on Kowalinho, he coped admirably and with the chance now to improve himself over the Summer, we look forwards to seeing what Kowalinho will do next year.

    Favourite player - AJ

Loyalty of 2 is worrying when he is our only keeper for most of the season

Surely stays our pen taker next year

    Season 5 - Kowalinho

He may have started his career last season as a goalkeeper, making 51 appearances and scoring 3 penalties but Kowalinho must have enjoyed the taste of scoring goals and surprised us all by deciding to switch to become a striker.
