Yeah - we were 1 up and smashing them but that brough a sigh of relief converting the pen then playing v 10 men!

Williamson had a couple of games I think at most first team but wasn't great - also hasn't really pulled up any trees in reserves - I hope he plays every week and then it be good to see what he does in competitive matches

Away to Leeds who are 13th but dropping like a stone!

    Team News

    Marinho comes in at DC

Otherwise we keep the same team as last out

Symes doesn’t even get a spot on the bench!

    The Game

"It’s Swansea, not Leeds who are “Marching on Together” today!"

Very clinical 1st half for the Swans as we go into the break 2 up

Mellberg puts us ahead from a Bowyer corner

Then in 25th minute, Simon Davies was lining up to shoot from a free kick but cleverly played Bowyer in who was unmarked to cap off a straining ground routine which I was delighted with!

Cat amongst the pigeons in 49th minute as Kewell’s ball in comes off Marinho for a bizarre own goal

The gives Leeds a lift and they come at us and nearly get a shock equaliser!

We make some subs to stem the game and it seems to work as we take control back to hold on for 3 vital points!

Robinson did all he could to keep us out!

    Spoiler!

In the only other game played, Newcastle beat Boro (they BATTER them as well) in a North East derby and leapfrog them to 4th and as one pundit “Samsami” said – "Boro are GONE"

    Finance Update

Cheeky cash windfall as he moved for £7m!

    Player Praised

Salas is 35 years old but like a Duracell bunny!

Whoa superb ratings overall, an excellent team performance

Do you plan to give more playing time to Feies ? He was excellent in the only game he played.

Great perforance - think we took advantage of Leeds on a bad run as they still have quality ODB players

Feies - yes - but at the moment the "old guard" (Bowyer/Davies and Koumas is good of late) have been very good

Would maybe look to put him in for the start at a home game soon....

Wasn't the boldest prediction I suppose

They are still in the mix though with a game in hand

Home to 6th place Middlesbrough who were table topping a while ago!

    But now dropped down

And they are in poor form

Ex Swan Phillip Mulryne is pulling the strings and having a fine season for them

    Team News

Only 1 change in the line up from the last game

Blondel in on left hand side for Koumas

    The Game

"New boy Feies the match winner in a deserved win for the Jacks!"

We are certainly the better team first half and pounce on the negativity of Boro

Blondel nearly put us ahead but shot rebounds off the bar just before HT

Davies isn’t that effective today so we put on Feies in the playmaker role

We are probing but it’s not yet coming

Lee Andrews goes off injured and Ferriera replaces – hope not bad one

Then in the last 10 minutes of the game Feies gets the winner after he charges forward from a Bowyer pass, shoots, gets saved but he follows up the rebound!

    Pandemonium around the ground!

Matthew Jones marshalled things superbly today – Captain Fantastic!

    Spoiler!

Spurs win and stay 3rd while we remain in 2nd.

    Injury Update

He’ll miss the next FOUR games including Liverpool in league and 1st leg Semi Final of League Cup v Chelsea

    Media Speculation

Bit surprised the media don’t think we can RETAIN our title :noida:

Board and Supporters don’t think so

Gooood win ! And a clean sheet on top of that.

    Boro were simply swept away.

    Feies

Only just but very much a deserved win!

Felt as though we needed to beat Boro for Samsami prediction to be fully true

Yes - I very much like the look of Feies

    Back on board.

Up and down for a bit there but seem to be back on it.

Feies is the one I looked at in that batch of new signings. He has got all the hallmarks of a top notch centre midfielder. He made his debut in the centre of the three. I'd be tempted to put him as one of the arrowed centre mids, give him a bit of attacking freedom.
He could grab himself some goals but also become a 'Mr Assist' for the likes of Vittek.

Leeds don't seem to be the superpower they originally were but make no mistake, that's a morale boosting win away from home!

Another good win over 'boro too, great to see Feis making an impact already. Hopefully means you're back to your form as it was at the start of the season for so long.

Glad to be back on the horse

We have a league title to retain

But wish to go further in Europe this year if we can

And a League Cup S/F soon

Yeah - sticky splel was certainly had wher we fecked up the league and dumped out of FA Cup but hopefully on the march again now!

Feies has 20 for passing so I see him as plamaker in the centre of the 3 CM but get your point on AM as looks like he has it in the "locker" for goals

Exciting prospect for sure! (although paid a lot for him!)

Leeds still have some crazy good players but on a horrirfic run falling down the table

2 fine wins though (maybe taking advtange of both bad spells)

Aye - Feies looks a little crackerjack

Now to chase down Utd and push on in Europe!

Home to 16th place WBA who are very much fighting relegation!

    Team News

We have Chelsea in League Cup 1st Leg in 4 days time

A few changes – Salas at 95% so we’ll keep him for Cup game. SYMES comes back into first XI after a few games rest – let’s hope he can hit ground running again now!

Bellamy given a chance in place of Blondel and Feies in place of Davies in playmaker role

Hargreaves moves over to RB and Pisani in at LB – Paulo Ferreira not really pulled up any trees with chances he’s had. I’m gutted with the whole Glen Johnson situation as he’s a quality RB but his confidence on its ass and seems to want to leave.

    The Game

"Feies HAT TRICK on a perfect day for Swans at the Vetch Field!"

Smashing first half as we go into the break 2 goals to the good after a fine 8 minute spell

Good play between Hargreaves and Vittek and the latter plays in Symes who hits it high and hard and great to see him back on the scoresheet!

Then O’Donnell feeds Feies who saunters up the push, hold off his man, has a go with his right foot and scores! 2 goals in 2 games!

Well, make that FOUR goals in 2 games as Feies end up scoring a HAT TRICK with 2 late goals

11 shots and ALL 11 ON TARGET

What a clinical display from the Swans!

I think you can guess the MOM – Feies!

    Spoiler!

We’ve won our games in hand and back to top the table – we have played a game more than others though

    Confirmed Player OUT

Gutted he’s going but his confidence and performances fell after Lee Andrews took his place

Then he was annoyed we didn’t let him go

Was a fine performer for me but we can’t keep people who are not happy

25% future fee as well so could rise to £7m

    Delighted with turnaround in form

Not sure what has changed - maybe gone back to those I can "trust" but also, I'm picking players now who have very good "morale" - does that help?
