    Congrats for reaching the final

Damn these 10 draws cost you dear. I you could have turned half of them into wins you'd be well on top.

    Newcastle seem on a high.

Caught up again and haven't lost a game though there's been 3 draws

Great to see you reach another final!

    What's O'Donnell done then?

Easy 2nd leg - and an ugly game - but the tie was over after 1st leg really

Yes - too many draws this year

Newcastl on the march - they have 2 CM legends in KERR and JOHN CURTIS. Then they have the likes of Essien and Arteta (Ex Swan), Shay Given, Marcus Bent in the team and some Scots guy called McPhee banging in the goals for them

    Draws VERY frustrating!

Please to get to this final given out in first round in FA Cup!

O'Donnell agent reckons he wants to move. I had a chat and he seems ok (poor last game tho) but wants o asses options and not willing to extend contract - might be a decision made at end of seasons what we do with him. I reckon he wants week in week out first team as is playing 2nd fiddle to Matthew Jones here but prob gets around 20 games (starts and subs) a season I'd say

Home to Juventus in Gameweek 5 of Champions League!

We need a point to qualify!

    Team News

We have 8 days break before the next game (The final CL group game v Leverkusen)

Don’t fancy going there needing to get something so go as strong as we can today against Juve

    The Game

"Once again only 12,000 turn up for a CL match as Swans qualify for Last 8!"

Funny old first half – a LOT of action but very much in the middle of the park as neither team really manages to get into the final third a lot

Juve don’t even get a shot away while we can only get a couple away

Bellamy, Marinho and Keane all with niggles. Keane is playing well so keep him on and change the other 2 as Pizarro and Henchoz come on

The 2nd half livens up and Davies skips by Vieira and Dalla Boa before scooping a ball over the top for Symes to climb above the keeper and nod home!

Juve then with nothing to lose properly go for it and do get an equaliser their play deserves as Djibril Cisse scores very very late for them

A point is all we need as we confirm qualification

Hargreaves again impressing at left back

    Spoiler!

Job done in topping the job and qualifying – we can rotate in next game v Leverkusen if we so wish

    Injury News

Ballsacks – Lee Andrews will miss the next 3 games – Hargreaves may need to switch to RB again

As a Zan once said, "Dammnit man, don't piss on my parade! You only get a few in a life!"

    And so I won't.

Let's hope it's another golden year for the Swan.

The Swan is silver at the moment - but we see a golden sky ahead of us - let's reach for it!

Anything golden from the sky, in my experience, is something that should be avoided.

All I say is, don't be invited to one with report of a shower by your uncle...

A disappointing crowd indeed for a CL game, especially against Juve!

You've done a great job to qualify with a game to spare.

Good job to stay unbeaten after twice meeting PSG and Juventus

Feies and your other new players will be able to play in the next rounds, right ?

I have no idea how to reply to that one Zan

We have ALWAYS only had 12k for CL games at home - no idea why!

From that group I am indeed chuffed to qualify relatively easily!

Unbeaten in that group is amazing for us

Good question on Feies et al

There usually is a chance to "add players" to European squad qhich (I think) happens after 2nd group phase?

Not sure though if you can add then if they have

a - alrady played CL earlier in season?
b - played in UEFA Cup earlier in season?

    Anyone know?

Would be great if I could add them!

Yes - delighted to qualify which means we CAN (if we want) play a fully rotated side in last game

Away to Leverkusen in Gameweek 6 of Champions League!

We’ve done our job but Leverkusen need something to join us in the last 8!

As usual, the hardcode Jack Army fans have made their way to Germany!

    Team News

‘Boro away in 3 days time so we make MASS changes here – we’ll also welcome back our Jan signings for the league game

    The Game

"10 man Swans with a heroic win in Germany as Tevez shines!"

Leverkusen need the points but our rotated team want to prove their worth

And Swans race into a 2 goal lead as Pizarro blasts a volley home and 12 minutes later Tevez fires a shot low and hard into the corner!

Right on stroke of half time Yepes makes a dangerous 2 footed challenge on fellow South American Aimar (Chile v Arg!) and see’s red given it’s his 2nd yellow. Leverkusen score the penalty to make the game 2-1 to Swans at HT but we’re down to 10

I make a random move and bring Davids on for Keane and play him LB given we’re a man less

Pizarro has a goal chalked off for offide straight from kick off but it doesn’t deter us as amazingly we go 3-1 up with 10 men as Tevez scores again but sticks this one in the top bins!

    Fine win from the lads

Tevez superb today with a brace!

    Spoiler!

PSG qualify with 7 points in a crazy group!

    Suspension News

He’s having a shite season and will likely be transfer listed in summer as has another year on his contract

    Champions League Quarter Final Draw

Christ – ODB Roma – and they still have some fecking quality players!

Well, he wasn’t interested in joining us but I just offered whatever I could – and he accepted

Amazing performances in a very tough group

Juventus out of both European cups

Vieira must have understood where the real power is now

I was bricking it when I saw that group but we got through it surprisingly easily! (everyone just took points from each other!).

    Juve

Yeah - Vieira turned me down a few weeks ago and when I "re-negotiated" he still wasn't interested so I just offered the defaults whoich were real high - can't remember but might b 75k pw (tat would prob be highest earner) and 750k sign on and about 7k assists etc - so could cost me a bit but he's one of the best CM 01/02 players though!

Does that spell the end for O'Donnell?

    But what a signing!

Away to 6th place Middlesborough in a big league game!

We’ve destroyed them over the years…………..

    Team News

Sunderland away in 4 days time

We welcome back Feies, Blondel and Vittek and they all go into the starting line up!

    The Game

"Swans pick up injuries but hold on for a vital 3 points!"

Intense first half as Boro are determined to get back into CL places while our sights are on the title

Boro have more of the changes but we are clinical with ours all on target

And just before HT we get the important goal. Symes (seems nicely back again) with a fine header from a Pisani cross

We have a load of players on yellow cards and a I replace Mellberg with Henchoz

But then minutes later Marinho off injured and Rustico comes on

However we do exert of experience and confidence on the game and Boro’s threat becomes less apparent

We then go down to 10 men as Blondel now injured!

But thankfully we see the game off for a vital 3 points!

Could have been more if it wasn’t for Taylor!

    Spoiler!

Geordies win and continue to get close to us

But - GET IN - Utd draw with 3rd place Spurs (down to 10 men after 18 mins) but Jowsey had a shocker for them!

    Suspension News

He’s combative and plays on the line – we’ll for sure miss him for 2 games

    Injury News

Double blow – especially Marinho who has been 1st choice DC since given a chance – likely Henchoz may come in unless Rustico can improve on performances or may look at Pugh in reserves

Extremely important win on a weekend when Manu and Spurs neutralise.

Very happy to see Symes back at his best.

Bad luck with the injuries but you should have the squad to face it without too much trouble.

Seemed an easier win than it looked

Chuffed Utd dropped - we've closed the gap now!

Still would rather points on board than games in hand though

Symes seems to be right back at it now - few games break did him good and also he knows we have Salas/keabe and tevez all waiting to take his place if he doesn't perform!

Injuries not ideal but we do have the squad - my issue is I'm not really happy with hardly any DC's we have - that needs sorting for next season!
