Away to 12th placed Everton who are hurtling down the table after being in European places!

I wonder if the “Old Lady” will be rocking at Gwladys Street end at “Woodison” Park………

    Team News

3 games left in 8 days then.............and we need to win them all to have any chance of the league!

Couple of midfield changes as Pizarro injured and Davies is rested as not 100%. Feies and Koumas come in

    Vittek back in attack

    The Game

"Swans season is ending with a whimper, down to 10 men, lose to the Toffees and hand Man Utd the title!

Fine first half as Everton in their last home game of the season come charging out and could have gone ahead

But we stem the tide and then Feies starts running things from midfield

But then we’re sucker punched just before half time with a double whammy as Matthew Jones is SENT OFF for 2 yellow cards then Ameobi climbs to score with a header

Pretty poor performance all round………let the rebuild begin!

Bramble was a rock for them in defence

    Spoiler!

So – that means Utd win the league without kicking a ball!

We have a struggle just to hold on for 2nd!

    Suspension News

Jones will miss the next game

Ouch! So long with just one lost game and now it's suddenly 5!

Bit of a setback. But there's next season. As you say, let the rebuild begin!

    Spoiler!

An average season compared to the last one but still won the EFL Cup and qualified for next season's Champions League.

A few new faces required, particularly in central defense and maybe in attack.

    Spoiler!

Our form in 2nd part of season has been bang average at best and we don't really deserve the title

I'm hoping the IRL scenario doesn't happen - but does look unlikley for us!

Wow, thought you were a shoe-in for back-to-back league titles here.

That's the old 4-1-3-2 for you, isn't it? Too liable to ship goals.

What chance a tactical evolution to go with the rebuild? Maybe a bit of wing play, or maybe three at the back??

    Good summary there

Not too far away from a CL final is a decent effort for sure!

Deffo new faces in DC needed - that is the BOG area of focus

Up top - I think i'll let Salas go as contract expiring

That leaves Symes, Vittek, Keane, tevez and I'm tempted to play Bellamy there next year as well - given I will now be doing FOUR WELSHmen in each matchday squad - he's never had a consistant run up top - alwats probably "out of position" in a CM role with forward arrow - not ideal when he's AM/F

Well - from our start - league looked very much on the crds but we fecked it right up!

Is 4132 default a tactic that does ship goals then? Defence has been VERY good over the years for us IIRC

Aye - could well change tac - would like to use Saturn V7 433 but as not an option here may do something similar or dow 442 diamond which is pretty much my DTL tactic - will review when I see what players I'm keepimg and thier positions!

Yeah - fecking shite game that and to HAND it to Utd is even more frustrating

The fan should be happy that we are increasing the WELSH quota next year

And we still have a trophy in the cabinet this season!

It is more consistently that he wants, though he is indeed pleased to see more fellow WELSHMEN.

Consistancy? We only lost about 1 game in 30 in the league before we fecked up

And got to CL S/F and won League Cup

That's pretty good for a club of our size and to be contesting in the majority of comps

I'm needing to get quite a few more WELSH in I think during the summer

Oh dear! Just caught up and thought you were back on track after giving fringe players a go against Bolton but reverted to recent poor form. Shame to have given up on the title without Man Utd kicking a ball.

Langfield looking like he could be potential number one next season though?

Home to Norwich who need to get points from both of their remaining games to stay in the division!

While we need the points to stay in 2nd!

    Team News

    MASS changes

Henchoz given a swansong (no pun intended!)

From nowhere – MARCUS SIMON comes back into the first team fold for a chance!

Young WELSHman John Owen on the bench (Jason Morgan is injured who looks more talented from the 2)

South American strike force of Salas and Tevez – could be Salas’s last game……….

    The Game

"Swans send the crowd home happy in last home game of the season!"

All of our frustration is taken out in a clinical first half consisting of THREE goals

OG to start off with with a header in own net, then Simon with a fine strike (just what he needed!) while great to see Feies back on the scoresheet to make it 3-0 at half time!

Norwich charge back into the game 2nd half and really deserved a goal back but Langfield in imperious form

I even manage to bring on Ryan Giggs (also likely to be his last appearance) and a DEBUT for John Owen

Job done in the first half today

And the players thank the fans with a lap of honour in the last home game

    Langfield with another superb game!

    Spoiler!

Liverpool lose so 2nd place is guaranteed for us

Indeed - ya don't want to go through the qualifiers

But an expected win vs. a team likely to get relegated

Great way of ending the season with a few farewells and first starts for youngsters.

How are the finances ? Will you able to rebuild as you'd like ?

I don't find that. Super solid in the County Championship wherever I've been.

IT is really strong, especially scores a lot of goals for a NWW formation, but can be exploited down the wings IMO, especially by wingbacks

Always nice to do the fareweels and happy to bloody youth who will play more next year

Finance Update will come in tonight's update which I've just written up - reasonable enough prize money for us to "dip our toe" into the transfer market

DC is the position that needs most focus - after tonights post I'll then be doinga few squad review posts for feedback from you guys as ever!
