Could get 6 good seasons out of him at that age for the position he plays.

If you want to judge if Grigoris Stratigos is a Super Greek, compare him with Michalis Galakteros. The stats of both players are mostly ad random. That's why I haven't tried Michalis Galakteros either.

Martin Vunk and Pavlo Kutas performed very well in my Fiortina Serie C2 campaign. Eventually they won the Uefa Cup.

Porto away in our 2nd Pre-Season match!

    Another fine stadium

    huntington bank near my location

NINE years on and the “Special One” is still there!

And they have this guy playing for them- Luis Boa Morte – ah Panini sticker albums!

    Team News

We go again with same team as Benfica

Only change is Tevez in for Vittek

    The Game

"Dazzling 1st half display results in an impressive win vs. Mourinho’s men!

Out of the blocks like a shot with a debut goal from WELSHman Vaughan!

Bellamy sets up Tevez for the 2nd with a fine volley while Vaughan tries his luck and gets his 2nd on stroke of HT after good play by Keane

An equally entertaining 2nd half and Porto keeper stops it being 4 with some good saves

Boa Morte gets a consolation goal

    Vieira MOM again!

    Spoiler!

Sporting Lisbon away in our final match of our tour to Portugal!

    huntington bank near my location

    They’ve got some lively “fans”……………………..

    Team News

Completely rotate the squad for this game to give everyone game time who haven’t yet played

    The Game

"Randall brace makes it 3 wins from 3 in Portugal!

All action first half and we take the lead against the run of play when Koumas hits it hard and high in the corner!

Randall gets what could be a debut goal just before HT as Feies play him in

But 1 minute later and a lesson learned as Tevez and Blondel miss tackles as Danny finishes of a fine team move as we switch off

    2-1 Swans at HT then

No change in play 2nd half as both teams play freely and chances both end – next goal key!

And it’s us who go 3-1 up Randall powers one home for a brace for him – could he help cover Vittek’s injury?

Koumas excellent in midfield – likely him, Davies and Bowyer will control CM berths away from home

    Spoiler!

That Dost incident was horrible! I remember it well. He decided to leave the club and then changed his mind again.

Just caught up on the close season.

First thing I notice was of the players that went out on frees, I genuinely presumed they had been around for longer than they had. Especially Davids, I could have sworn he was 3or 4 years in with you.

Nuno Mata was the incoming that stood out to me most. He looks the dogs. I fear he won't get games though as you will be stuck on playing Vieira in the DMC.
I like the look of Marcus Simon as well. Him and Feies and give you a decade plus of service in those midfield positions.

EDIT: I see you played Mata at CB in the first friendly. Interesting decision. I'm sure he'll excel there though looking at the stats.

Very decent on your travels in the friendlies.

I remember the Lisbon stuff as well.

Bruno Fernandes was one of those who original left but then changed his mind as well.
He is currently probably one of the most in form players in Europe over the last season. 20 goals and 13 assists in 33 games and very much on Man City's radar as a possible David Silva replacement.

Very happy with tour results against good European opposition

As you say, a few fellas stepped to the fore which is great to see

Couple of "easy" Welsh local games next!

    Good to have you back

Aye Davids was prob 34/35 when he joined - literally first season just to play in CL games for his expereince (he's still a belter) - had less games last season and on the deline and on a wedhe so let go at conract expiry

Mata looks a cracker - let's hope he settles in nicely!

Mata is my first choice DC i'd say - so he'll play every week!

Simon LOOKS great but hasn't taken his chance thus far - shipped out on loan but will kep a VERY close eye

Feies seems inconstant at the mo but plan to play him in most home games for sure!

Ah yes - you seen Mata DC

Chuffed with the tour - all good!

Ugh on Lisbon incident - mad innit - a line been crossed there!

Aye - would think fernandes will get snapped up - interestin model they have in Portugal where they can offer the work permits and then breed thm in before making thier own cut when selling to "bigger" European clubs!

Away to Port Talbot Town in a game for the locals!

    Where the famous Steelworks are!

And also – where Banksy recently gave the town a bit more notoriety

    Team News

Same team as last time out v Sporting Lisbon but Symes comes in for his first pre-season game

    The Game

"The Steelworkers are no match for a rampant first half Swans!

As expected, we are way stronger than them

Symes opens the scoring and he’s delighted after an injury has curtailed his pre-season thus far

Koumas with a mazy runs and drives the ball home for the 2nd then right before HT, Tevez powers forward and hits a fierce shot!

Jones with a pull so Tomlinson replaces him

Symes sets up Blondel for a 4th mid way in 2nd half

Then a raft of changes and the game understandably drfits to its end

More time in the lads legs!

    Symes back with a bang!

    Spoiler!

Final Pre-Season game away to Briton Ferry !

    Team News

Mass changes and we play all the kids and reserves here!

An 18, 20 and 21 year old in the midfield 3 – all WELSH!

    The Game

"Swans end pre-season with 5 from 5 - happy days!

The local team are taking great pleasure in trying to kick our kids out of the game!

But they come through it and let their feet do the talking with the exciting Morgan and Owen both getting first half goals!

Morgan followed up and tapped in after Randall hit the post while Morgan played a ball into the area for Owen to head home!

No additional goals 2nd half but a nice final pre-season game where everyone has had game time and apart from Vittek – no major injuries

Jason Morgan already showing he’s a cut above everyone else – star of the show – he’ll be given his opportunities in first team this year with the FOUR player rule of WELSH nationality

    Spoiler!

    Confirmed Transfer OUT

Talented but never convinced………. – we let him go on a free but 25% future fee

    Injury News

Pugh will miss first THREE games of season – but he’s more a backup player anyway

Zero interest, wasn't pulling up trees inreserves and did feck all when given first team chances. Wasn't on a huge wage so could have kept him but let him go elsewhere (got a 25% future fee arranged though)

Away to Wigan in the League season opener!

    Team News

Yury starts off with No.1 Jersey

Keane and Symes lead the line with Vittek out

No place for Feies, Pisani or Mellberg in the 18!

FIVE WELSHmen in the matchday squad – remember – we need FOUR in each matchday squad

    The Game

"2 points dropped or a point gained for the 10 men of Swansea?"

We’re on top first half but we are rusty - not how we were in pre-season

Only a quarter of our shots on target

Then inexplicably, Owen Hargreaves makes a 2 footed challenge on Patterson! RED CARD!

We have to take Keane off and Lee Andrews comes on

2nd half is understandably more even as they have an extra man

But we have some fine chances late doors to win it

NOT the start we were looking for, but I guess it could have been worse!

Says something when even with 10 men, their goalkeeper was MOM!

    Spoiler!

2 points behind rivals Man Utd and Liverpool already…………..

    Suspension News

3 game ban for Hargreaves – feck sake

But it’s reduced to 2 – better than a poke in the eye!

Weird one - away point with 10 men is ok but we could and should have won it also

Hargreaves has been warned and he's apologised - out of charachter for him
