    Yuri is a gentleman.

But it's clear that this will be another demanding season. As long as you're playing League games, Cup games and the CL games you're bound to drop points every now and then.

Yeah it's a real pity to lose against West Ham…

We've had it quite a bit in this story over the years

On "paper" we were the better side though - just some GK errors today

Fair play to Yury sticking his hand up - he kows he was in the wrong and cot us points today

Yes - context needed. We'll all drop points at one point or another - ot's abou how you bounce back

    Yury is subbed, how embarrassing!

Hopefully Langfield will get his chance as number 1, been waiting a long time for it.

When you are having a shocker - off you come!

Yeah - Langfield may well get the nod now

Bit of an issue where I've lost my next write 2 write ups (done them as have been on a golf weekend) as my email seems to have crashed - it's resyncing but as it's on my work laptop it's pulling back 10+ years of mails so may be delayed for a day or so while it comes back to my drafts secion

Solid 2 days of my mail being restored - nearly finished so will see if my drafts have been saved

If so, will just post up the results of next 2 games where I played over weekend!

Nah - lost all me drafts

Right - actually played a few games before I went away last weekend

Here are the results since the disaster against West Ham..........

    Newcastle in League

Langfield came into the team in goal and had a blinder
    • We score early but then Geordies get back into it
    • We had the better of the game but forced to settle for a draw

    Spoiler!

Deportivo at Home in Champions League

    • Looking for revenge after they beat us last time out
    • Rotated team as league is priority
Reina superkeepers the feck out of us
    • But thankfully we nick a goal and get the win – from a random source as well – DC Ferrand!
    • Puts us in a good position in table – with Zurich to play in 1 of our last 2 games, we should qualify now.

    Spoiler!

Spurs in League – they are REALLY struggling – in relegation zone!

    Vittek is BACK from injury
    • The most comfortable of win as expected given current situation Spurs are in
Feies takes his chance excelling from the AM position (we are playing 442 diamond remember!)
    • We top the table but Liverpool do have that game in hand

    Spoiler!

Normal service in updates will be resumed going forward!

Toons away is always a challenge so good point there.

On track in CL. Next match at Sporting will be decisive.

Convincing win over a sorry Tottenham with a lot of brilliant individual performances. Symes a bit inconsistent compared to last season.

They have a few CM old school names but not a great squad

Good spot on Symes - he's about 3 goals in 10 games - strikers have been a bit shot shy this season thus far and not clinical - needs to change!

Sporting is a bonus game really - we should be easily able to wrap it up v Zurich but always nice to get it done earlier!

Toon had a couple of scalps on us over the years..........

Not a fan of regens really and we'll probably be 10 years in this story soon which seems like a natural end

Would be nice if Wales job came up and I could dual manage

I would prefer the game to do newgens over regens otherwise its always the same countries that get the best players. But I deliberately don't look for players retiring or search for great regens to keep the game as interesting as I can after 10 seasons.

As I'm fairly new to the forms your story hasn't been one I've been able to read the whole way through (given its 170 pages now lol), do you have a summary of competitions you've won over the years or a screenshot of Swansea competition history?

We had a go at that and then bought in old expereinced players

We went close - Semi Finals twice I believe

Now focusing back on domestic again - wanna win that league again now!

Away to Sporting Lisbon in Gameweek 5 of Champions League

    An opportunity to qualify here

Bit of an ask for the fans that already came here in pre-season but a decent amount make the effort!

    Where a certain CR7 started his career………..

    Team News

CL Rotated squad comes back in

Yury gets a game and Vittek makes his comeback from injury

    The Game

"An entertaining draw in Lisbon as Swans qualify from the group with a game to go!

We start strong but are suckerpunched as Marajo takes on Koumas and then hits high and hard into the corner to give Sporting a lead!

We go into the break 1 down but been by far the better team

Keane with a knock and Bellamy replaces

Deserved equaliser 3 mins into 2nd half as Koumas makes up for his first half error and scores with a low drive

But Sporting have not a lot to lose and are goaded on by their ferocious crowd and they sneak back in front as Delon scores a sweet half volley following a low cross from Lopes

But not to be undeterred, Swans grind away and once again claw themselves back through Pisani who plays a nice 1-2 and bombs into the area and his finish goes in off the post!

The LEAST we deserved and that point should help qualification

Even though he let in 2 goals a fine game from Yury Tsigalko but it’s Koumas who gets the plaudits

    Spoiler!

Happy days – Zurich BEAT Deportivo at home and with that we have actually done enough to qualify already!

We play Zurich in the last group game

    EFL Cup 4th Round Draw

Reasonable draw if we beat Cardiff – Wigan are mid table in PL

    Next up 1st v 2nd in Premier League…………

    Qualified! Job done!

Why focus on the League, though?

Is it because of Liverpool who haven't won the League for almost thirty years while they won the Champions League twice now?
    Is the League more important?

Good job in Portugal and thanks again to Zurich who definitely helped your cause in this group.

    Looking forward the Liverpool game

Should have won it but most importantly, you are through. Plan to rest players against Zurich?

Happy that Zurich helped us out twice in this group!

We've only won the league once 9I think) so want to sort that out and win it more if we can!

Not sure we are good enough for CL even though we've reached Semi last couple of years

We need to assert ourselves as the best team in England! (funny that given we're a WELSH team )

    God bless Zurich!

HUGE game v Pool now - early in season as well!

Given they have a game in hand we could do with getting at least a draw but gunning for the win!

Aye - should have won but hey ho!

Yep - super shadow team v Zurich - although we do want to top the group which is usually important
